The name of Georges Vesselle is linked to the Grand Cru village of Bouzy more than any other. In fact, Georges Vesselle, founder of the maison that bears his name, in addition to having played important roles in the management of the Mumm, Perrier-Jouet and Heidsieck vineyards, was also mayor of Bouzy for 25 years. Since 1993, his sons Bruno and Éric have managed their father's winery which owns 17 hectares of vineyards, mainly cultivated with Pinot Noir. Bouzy's pinot noir is one of the most coveted and prized in the entire Champagne region.
The vineyards of Georges Vesselle are distributed around the village of Bouzy in a hilly position and enjoy an excellent exposure. The style of Georges Vesselle Champagne is based on the strength of Pinot Noir, but does not completely give up elegance, which is on the contrary ensured by modern and precise wine making techniques.
