List of products by brand Laurent-Perrier
Laurent-Perrier
Laurent-Perrier is the 5th Champagne Maison with over 7 million bottles per year. It stands out for a style of finesse and elegance, linked to Chardonnay. It was founded in 1812 in the municipality of Tours-sur-Marne. It achieved quickly success. In 1939 it was sold to the Nonancourt family.
Bernard de Nonacourt took over the activities in 1948, marking a turning point. He made decisive decisions for the qualitative development of Laurent-Perrier Champagnes. For example, Bernard was responsible for abandoning wood in favor of steel for the fermentation of base wines and he created the Cuvée Prestige Grand Siècle as multiple vintage champagne, which is quite unusual, because generally the Cuvée Prestige comes form a single vintage. The choice to produce the rosé by maceration and not by adding red wine was also courageous. Died at the age of 90 in 2010, he left his heirs a Maison of the highest quality as well as considerable production capacity.
Chardonnay is the most important grape variety in Laurent-Perrier Champagnes (left-aside rosé), malolactic fermentation of the base wines is always carried out and aging on the lees is always very prolonged.
Delamotte and Salon are also part of the Laurent-Perrier Group.
