Tradition and expertise have been passed on from father to son, so as to obtain the best cuvees Since 1670, when the Gruet family arrived in Buxeuil, in the Côte des Bar, they have not left that generous territory. Indeed, some nearby plots still have their names, such as Bas Gruet and Sur Gruet. Their vineyards are located in one of the most prestigious areas of the former Champagne-Ardenne region, in the Aube department. The grapes varieties cultivated in this area are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Arbane e Petit Meslier.
