Founded in 1999 by the Muratori family in Adro, Villa Crespia is a modern Franciacorta winery. It has 55 hectares of vineyards, located in different vocational units, identified by the zoning studies of the territory. They are spread in 6 villages and are grown with the typical vine varieties of the area: Chardonnay and Pinot noir. Each parcel is vinified independently, to preserve the identity of each vineyard.
The Muratori family has set itself the goal of producing quality sparkling wines under the Franciacorta DOCG appellation and has invested in a large underground cellar, 12 meters deep, equipped not only with efficient technology, but also with suitable spaces dedicated to each production phase.
The Muratori family is sensitive to the issues of eco-sustainability and health, in fact thay have adopted organic farming and have reduced the use of sulfur dioxide to almost zero. Villa Crespia's range of Franciacorta sparkling wines has grown over the years and has been perfected, to the point of winning numerous awards and recognitions for its flagship labels. The name "Crespia" is a tribute to a medieval tradition of the province of Brescia: this is the name of the wine that was fizzy following an unwanted refermentation.
