Pampero is the prototype of Venezuelan rum, produced by Industries Pampero, whose foundation dates back to 1938. Today Pampero is a Venezuelan rum brand distributed by Diageo. The prerogatives of Rum Pampero are 2: the artisanal style of production and ageing in wood for at least 24 months.
Two visionaries, Luis Manuel Toro and Alejandro Hernandez, founded the distillery; the name Pampero refers to the wind that blows from the Pampas.
