Luce della Vite 2020

Luce combines a modern vision of wine with a territory of strong tradition. It is a Tuscan product created from the common intuition of two great wine men: Frescobaldi and Mondavi. Together they founded the Luce della Vite project and Luce is precisely its most emblematic wine.

It is certainly a so-called Supertuscan wine. It is obtained with Merlot and Sangiovese, both grown in Montalcino, Tuscany. The enchanting charm of Merlot marries the vibrant structure of Sangiovese; the suitable territory of Montalcino determines the ideal conditions for its success.

Alcoholic fermentation took place in steel vats at a controlled temperature and maceration lasted 4 weeks. The malolactic fermentation took place in barrique. The wine aged 24 months in oak barriques of which 85% new.
