Sannio Aglianico Janare 2021
Guardia Sanframondi is a relatively small sub-area of the Sannio appellation in the north-western part of the province of Benevento. Mainly from here come the Aglianico grapes for the Sannio Aglianico Janare. The idea is to express the specificity of a territory through one of its main indigenous grape varieties. The vineyards are on average 15 years old and are located at 250-300 m above sea level; the soil is limestone and clay.
The grapes ferment in steel vats at a controlled temperature with a maceration of 18 days with a few daily pumping over. The malolactic fermentation takes place in 500-liter Allier oak tonneau, where the wine ages for 6 months.
