Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2022 Tenuta Ulisse
The Montepulciano grapes of this DOC red wine come from the province of Chieti, in the hills 10 km from the Adriatic coast. The vineyards are located in sunny areas, where the grapes accumulate concentration of sugars, color and flavor compounds. Consequently, the wine has great body and concentration even with abundant productions. It is the most produced wine in Abruzzo and a true national excellence, which the Ulisse family interprets in a modern key, thanks to cutting-edge technologies in the cellar.
The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed; they ferment in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with a maceration on the skins for 15-20 days. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages in steel until bottling.
