Bramito della Sala Chardonnay 2023

The Bramito della Sala white wine is a 100% Chardonnay produced by Antinori in the Umbrian estate of Castello della Sala. The tuffaceous soil of Orvieto favors the production of mineral and elegant wines. Chardonnay is a French variety loved for its intense, fruity and rounded taste. It is considered one of the greatest white wine grapes in the world and has been cultivated in the Castello della Sala vineyards since the 1990s. Bramito della Sala is characterized by a youthful, fresh and lively taste, without sacrificing the softness and body typical of Chardonnay.

The grapes are pressed and left to cold macerate for a few hours, in order to extract most of the flavor compounds from the skins. They are then gently pressed and the free-run must ferments partly in barrique and partly in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine fermented in wood also carries out the malolactic fermentation and after a few months it is blended with the wine fermented in steel.
