Business lunches can be the setting for making decisions, cutting deals or negotiating for results. Impressions are key and the wine we choose can play a decisive role in the achievement of our goals. Here, well-known designations with an excellent reputation, prestigious wine labels and famous producers are preferable.
It is better to start lunch with Champagne, perhaps a blanc de blancs, more subtle and perfect as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to the starter. Lunch can either continue with French effervescence, perhaps proceeding to a vintage or a blanc de noirs for the main courses. If, on the other hand, the choice falls on a still wine - be it white or red - it must be a prestigious label. It is important to choose evocative wines such as Etna wines, which are very fashionable at the moment and are both white and red. As a white wine, we also recommend a Riesling or a great Chardonnay: their tastes are totally different, but both abound with personality. For a red wine, what about that Supertuscan that everyone is talking about? Or a Bolgheri Superiore, an Amarone della Valpolicella or a Barolo. These are wines that could prompt a reaction in a teetotaller! For a successful working lunch, it’s important to choose the right wine. Take a look at our wine list.
