The Mediterranean climate of the Gulf of Naples is ideal for the cultivation of fragrant citrus fruits. The tangerine liqueur obtained by infusion is not just an alternative to the classic limoncello, but a real liqueur to be sipped at the end of a meal or to be used in mixing cocktails and long drinks. It is the Italian answer to Cointreau. It is produced with a cold maceration in alcohol of the peels of ripe tangerines. The infusion is then filtered and diluted with a syrup of water and sugar.
