Limoncello di Limone Costa d’Amalfi IGP
It is not just a limoncello, but a limoncello made with lemons of the Sfusato Amalfitano variety, which has obtained the denomination "Limone Costa d'Amalfi I.G.P.". These lemons are present for centuries on the steep and inaccessible soils of the coast; they have been cultivated with such care that they look like real lemon gardens. The merits of the Sfusato Amalfitano lemon are many, both organoleptic and nutritional. As for the production of limoncello, the traditional liqueur, its rather thick skin rich in essential oils and terpenes is important.
The alcohol infusion extracts these flavor compounds, which are transferred to the Limoncello liqueur.
