Riesling Afix 2021
Jermann offers a personal interpretation of the great German grape Riesling, loved for its penetrating aroma and its intense and vibrant taste. The Afix white wine is obtained from the Rein Riesling vine variety cultivated on the Collio soil, the typical Flysch, also called “ponca”, formed by layers of sandstone and clayey marl of sedimentary origin. It is a calcareous soil with mineral components that contributes to the perfect ripening of white grapes. Some precautions during the vinification phase allow Jermann to obtain a full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced white wine. It is proposed with a screw cap that maintains the aromatic profile of the wine intact.
The Riesling harvest takes place in September. After a short maceration with the skins, fermentation ends without the skins in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine ages in steel for 10 months in contact with the fine lees.
