Trentino Chardonnay Bottega Vinai 2023
Chardonnay has been grown in Trentino for over a century. Much is devoted to the production of sparkling wines, but there is no lack of the still version. It is the best known white grape in the world and loved for its round and fruity taste. The Chardonnay Bottega Vinai grapes come partly from vineyards on ancient brown soils in Vallagarina and partly from vineyards on alluvial soils in the Valle dei Laghi.
The grapes are harvested by hand and a short cryo-maceration of the crushed grapes precedes the start of fermentation. The must is then drained and only othe free-run must ferments mostly in temperature-controlled steel vats and a small part in barrique.

Colour: pale straw yellow.
perfume: peach, pineapple, dried fruit and a hint of butter.
Taste: round, balanced, vibrant freshness and long finish.
Suggestions
The Burgundy bottle is a tribute to the origin of the grape. At meals it can be enjoyed with seafood. Try it with a salmon tartare.
Recommended with: sushi and raw fish, vegetarian dishes, shellifish, crab and lobster, fish, fresh cheese.
