Cavit is the largest cooperative winery in Trentino, today it includes 11 traditional cooperative wineries to which 5,250 winegrowers give grapes. The following are part of Cavit: the Cantina Sociale Roveré della Luna; the Cantina Rotaliana in Mezzolombardo, the Cantina di La-Vis e Valle di Cembra, the Cantina Toblino in the Valle dei Laghi, the Cantina Sociale di Trento, the Cantina Aldeno, the Cantina Vivallis in Villalagarina, the Agraria Riva del Garda in the Upper Garda, the Cantina D'Isera, the Cantina Mori Colli Zugna and the Cantina Sociale Viticoltori in Avio.
Two thirds of Trentino wine comes from a Cavit cellar. On the strength of these numbers Cavit manages to diversify its products into various production lines from the most commercial wines to prestigious labels.
Cooperation is, moreover, a widespread and essential practice for the development of the wine system of a region in which the geographic conformation does not allow large extensions of vineyards, but only plots cut out between the valley bottoms and the sides of the mountains.
The long experience and the capillarity of the cellars have allowed Cavit to explore and deepen all the individual micro-territories of Trentino region, enhancing each one in its specificity. These territorial values ​​are the basis of the entire production range.
Cavit as a whole manages 6,350 hectares of vineyards and produces 62 million bottles every year.
