Briglia Maremma Toscana DOC 2022 Box da 6 bottiglie
The Poderone 'Briglia'
It is made from 100% Ciliegiolo grapes, an indigenous variety of the region. The grapes come from vineyards located in the area of Magliano in Toscana, about 100 metres above sea level. The soil is clay-limestone, rich in skeleton, with good permeability.
The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September - beginning of October, when they reach perfect ripeness.Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature.During fermentation, the must macerates with the skins to extract colour, tannins and aromas. Maceration generally lasts for 5-7 days.
Maturation: The wine matures in French oak barrels for about 6 months. During this period, the wine develops greater complexity and harmony.
Ageing in French oak barrels gives the wine spicy and toasty notes.
The duration of the barrique ageing may vary depending on the vintage and the style of wine to be made.
