Giogo Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2022 Box da 6 bottiglie

Il Giogo, produced by the Il Poderone winery, is a Morellino di Scansano DOCG made from 100% Sangiovese grapes.

The name 'Giogo' derives from an ancient path that crossed the winery's land.

The Sangiovese grapes for the production of Giogo are cultivated at an altitude of approximately 250 metres, on soils of tufaceous origin.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, with about 15 days' maceration on the skins. Ageing takes place partly in French oak barriques and partly in large Slovenian oak casks for a period of at least 12 months. It has good ageing potential. It can be enjoyed young, but if aged a few years in the cellar, it evolves to develop complex and refined tertiary notes.
