Valle d’Aosta Chambave Muscat 2022

Moscato grape, appreciated for its sweet wines, in this case is vinified without residual sugar to give a wine with characteristic aromas and dry taste. Chambave Muscat is a typical wine of the Aosta Valley, produced in the Chambave area with grapes of the Moscato bianco variety, grown between 450 and 750 meters above sea level on steep vineyards on the south-facing slope of the Dora Baltea Valley. The sandy soils of morainic origin together with the diurnal range enhance the scent of the grapes and therefore of the wine.

The harvest begins on September 20th and ends on October 10th starting from the lowest vineyards to finish with the highest ones. The grapes are left to cold macerate for 12/18 hours. Then they are pressed and only the liquid must begin the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature between 12 and 16 ° C. The wine then ages in steel vats in contact with the fine lees with repeated bâtonnage for a few months.
