Franciacorta Brut
It is the label at the base of Santa Lucia’s production range: a classic Franciacorta, produced with only white-berried grapes, especially Chardonnay, which is the most representative grape of Franciacorta ever. The grapes come from organic farming and the wine making is the classic one of the Traditional Method to produce fine and elegant bubbles. Franciacorta Brut Santa Lucia aims to express subtlety and finesse with a balanced and easy-to-drink taste. Therefore it is a very versatile Franciacorta: it can be enjoyed as an aperitif or in combination with meals. The grapes come from vineyards in different villages of Franciacorta, with different types of soil.
The grapes are harvested by hand. They are gently pressed to obtain a pure free-run must. The fermentation of the base wines takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. After the creation of the cuvée and the addition of sugars and yeasts, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the traditional method and the sparkling wine ages on the lees for 18 months before disgorging. It is dosed with 5 g / l of sugar.
