Rum Explorer Dominican Republic is distilled in the Dominican Republic by one of the most modern wineries in the Caribbean and all of Latin America: Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos.
The distillation plant at Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos consists of five stainless steel columns and a battery of 1800hl fermentation vats. The molasses is usually fermented for about 18 hours and most rums mature in ex-bourbon barrels.
For the production of Rum Explorer Dominican Republic, a blend of rums aged 3 and 8 years is made. The blend matures for several months in the cellars of Château du Breuil in American ex-bourbon barrels. This gives this rum its characteristic gourmet aroma, with notes of honey, vanilla and black fruit.
