Rosso dei Barbi is a wine produced from Sangiovese grapes not registered as Brunello grapes; to them grapes from the Maremma estate are also added. It is conceived as a ready-to-drink wine, to be paired with everyday cooking, even with a sandwich or a pizza.
The grapes ferment at a controlled temperature in steel with 10 days of maceration. The wine ages in steel until bottling.
Features
Colour: ruby red tending to purple.
perfume: fruity and floral, cherry, violet and a hint of thyme.
Taste: fresh, lively, slightly tannic, supple.
Suggestions
To be drunk in youth to appreciate its liveliness and freshness. Try it with beans soup with pasta.
Recommended with: pork, meat sauce pasta, charcuterie, hams and cold meat, vegetarian dishes, pizza.
