Nèprica Primitivo 2021
It comes from the Bocca di Lupo estate of Tormaresca in the Murgia area; the vineyards are located between 200 and 300 meters above sea level on calcareous soil, hard to work, but which guarantees character to the wines. The Primitivo grape that grows in the Murgia is different from the Salento one for a greater freshness, due to the climate and to the characteristic diurnal range. Tormaresca’s Nèprica is a didactic Primitivo: it expresses the fruity essence that constitutes the charm of the Apulian grape.
The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed and transferred to steel vats where alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with maceration. The wine also carries out malolactic fermentation and ages in steel for 8 months before bottling.
