Collazzi 2018
The vineyards involved in the production of Collazzi IGT Toscana Rosso are located in the North-West part of Impruneta, in the hamlet of Galluzzo in the province of Florence.
The soil is characterised by the presence of clay, limestone and in part sandy soil.
The vineyards have been in production for more than 20 years and are exposed to the South-West, thus allowing many hours of sunshine to assist in achieving perfect ripeness.
Harvesting is done by hand in small boxes to prevent the grapes from breaking and unwanted fermentation.
The different varieties are vinified separately at a controlled temperature of around 25°.
Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques, where the wine is aged for 18 months before bottling.
