Moscato d'Asti DOCG La Caliera Box da 6 bottiglie
Moscato d'Asti La Caliera is a sweet wine produced by the Borgo Maragliano winery, located in Loazzolo, in the province of Asti. This wine is named after a lady who lived near the vineyards, a generous and authentic woman who inspired the creation of this product. The Moscato bianco di Canelli grapes are harvested manually to ensure maximum integrity of the berries. The berries are gently pressed to extract the must, avoiding the release of components that could make the wine more bitter. The must is immediately cooled to 0°C to inhibit spontaneous fermentation and preserve the varietal aromas. The must is transferred to an autoclave, where alcoholic fermentation is started at a controlled temperature. This phase continues until the wine reaches approximately 5.5% vol. of alcohol. To maintain the characteristic sweetness of Moscato d'Asti, fermentation is abruptly interrupted by bringing the wine back down to 0°C. The wine is matured in steel for a short period, after which it is bottled. Bottling generally takes place in early November, thus preserving the wine's freshness and aromaticity.
