Borgo Maragliano is a family-run winery located in the heart of the Langhe Astigiane in Piedmont. It is renowned for the production of high quality wines, characterised by an ‘extreme’ interpretation of the territory, as they like to call it. The vineyards, which extend over 41 hectares, are located on sandy and calcareous soils, with steep slopes and an altitude ranging from 290 to 620 metres. This terroir gives the wines a unique minerality and complexity.  The company is committed to respecting the environment and preserving biodiversity, using sustainable cultivation methods. Borgo Maragliano combines ancient winemaking traditions with the most modern technologies, resulting in wines that best express the character of the terroir.  Today, the vineyards are located between 450 and 600 metres above sea level: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are mainly planted here, used mainly for the Metodo Classico, but also Riesling and Moscato Bianco di Canelli. The grapes enjoy a unique microclimate: the wind from the sea, called Marin, blows through the rows and the temperature range is ideal for the production of great wines. This is combined with a unique soil, sandy, tuffaceous and calcareous, which makes it possible to obtain sparkling wines of the highest quality.
