Morellino di Scansano 2022 Box da 6 bottiglie
La Mozza's Morellino di Scansano comes from a blend of Sangiovese, Syrah and, in small part, Alicante bouschet. The use of these two particular varieties has resulted in a very special and original Morellino di Scansano DOCG, which best emphasises the potential of the Maremma terroir.
The grapes macerate on the skins for about 20 days. Racking takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing for about 10 months, half in large Slavonian barrels, half in stainless steel.
Features
Colour: intense, brilliant ruby red with purple reflections.
perfume: very fruity, warm and richly spiced aromas, with hints of ripe blackberry and nuances of caramel.
Taste: long, important and velvety tannins are supported by excellent volume and pleasant acidity. Savoury and mineral finish, which lends elegance and liveliness to the palate.
Suggestions
A wine for the whole meal, serve it in glasses of medium size, together with traditional Tuscan dishes. A tip, try it with Florentine tripe.
Recommended with: roasts, meat sauce pasta, mushrooms, truffles.
