Aragone 2015, owes its name to the Aragonese of Spain, who ruled the Maremma in the 16th century. Sangiovese, an indigenous grape variety of this territory, is blended with Syrah and Alicante.
The three grapes are harvested by hand, separately, and are fermented in open tonneaux. Maceration on the skins lasts about 30 days and after racking, malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
Afterwards, the wine matures for at least two years in the French oak tonneaux used for fermentation.
