Montornello 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG Bio

Montornello 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG Bibbiano BIO is produced from pure Sangiovese cultivated, on soil with calcareous-clayey sediments with the presence of calcareous pebbles, chalk, red clay and sand, in the Montornello vineyards according to an organic regime.

Harvest took place on 10 October. The wine is fermented in steel tanks for 33 days and is first aged for 24 months in cement and French oak barrels and then for 6 months in the bottle.

The end result is a broad-bodied, structured and rightly elaborated wine. It is ample both on the nose and palate with decisive and tasty hints; a wine with character and a lingering aftertaste that is at the same time elegant and flavoursome.
