Langhe Arneis Blangé 2023
Blanghé is a very popular white wine, attractive and well-balanced, that has made the Arneis native grape variety successful. Arneis is an ancient Piedmontese grape variety, widespread mainly in the sandy soils of the Roero. In the past it was made sweet or used in blends with Nebbiolo and Barbera to dilute their marked acidity. It was also called White Nebbiolo. As a grape it is very difficult to grow, it tends to lose acidity with ripening and in winemaking it easily risks oxidation. In the 1980s, Ceretto achieved a great result, creating a fresh and fragrant white wine from Arneis; it won over consumers: this wine is Blangé. Langhe Arneis Blanghé has become one of the most popular Piedmontese whites and has made the Arneis grape a star among Piedmontese white grapes.
Wine making is carried out exclusively in steel vat with a fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature and a short aging on its own lees.
