Ceretto is a winery of primary importance in the Piedmontese Langhe. For almost a century, the Ceretto family has been committed to the trade and production of wine, making an evolution that is representative of the history of the area. Initially they used to buy grapes at the Alba market, but over time they have expanded their vineyards to the current 160 hectares.
The second generation - now in charge - has converted the estate to organic farming and biodynamic practices; they vinify only their own grapes; they built two cellars which are modern architectural projects in the middle of the vineyards; they have also invested in fine dining. They own the 3 Michelin star restaurant Piazza Duomo in Alba. Finally, they also manage a parallel activity of distribution and import of fine wines.
Their single vineyard Barolos and Barbarescos have become iconic wines; but their range includes wines of all sort; they could achieve incredible commercial success with a white wine as well: Blangé, made from the native Arneis grape variety.
The Ceretto winery produces about one million bottles a year and has collected a significant number of awards from Italian and foreign guides.
