Grappa AnticaCuvée® Riserva Cask Strength (with own box)
This is the Nonino Grappa Riserva to which no reduction in alcohol content has been applied. According to Italian law, grappa on the market can have an alcohol content between 37.5 and 60% alc./vol. The reduction of the alcohol content is the operation that dilutes the pure distillate with water to bring it back within the terms of law; this operation also balances the alcohol level compared to the aromatic components.
Grappa AnticaCuvée® Riserva Cask Strength is a limited and numbered production produced according to the Nonino artisanal method starting from Cabernet, Merlot and Schioppettino grapes. The distillation is discontinuous in steam-heated copper stills and is carried out slowly to carefully separate the heads and tails. Only the heart, rich in noble components, is moved into barriques and oak barrels for an aging period of 5 - 20 years.
The master distiller finally composes the blend and proceeds to bottling by hand without any dilution and without adding dyes.
