Nonino distillery was founded more than 120 years ago in the province of Udine (northeastern Italy) by Orazio Nonino and is still managed by the Nonino family; each generation has contributed to developing the business. Nonino is responsible for having enhanced the typicality of Italian grappa, elevating it from a rustic distillate to an excellent product of Made in Italy. In fact, Nonino chose as a raw material not simple wine processing waste, but the fermented grape skins of important wines from famous wineries.
Nonino has refined the art of distillation of pomace for the production of grappa and has been the first to distil fresh grapes to create the “Acquavite d’Uva”, of which it also experienced aging. Finally, since the very beginning Nonino has also produced liqueurs starting with the famous Amaro Carnia created in the 1930s with herbs from the Friuli mountains.
Today Nonino distillery is technologically advanced for the production of fine spirits and liqueurs but also respectful of the environment. The value of Nonino products is internationally recognized and appreciated in the world of haute cuisine and is increasingly accompanied by luxury products.
