Pfitscher's Gewürztraminer Stoass owes its name to the local dialect term 'Stoass', meaning stones. This name refers to the rocky soils in which the grapes used for this wine are cultivated. The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Egna and Caldaro, where the soil is perfect for the optimal growth of Gewürztraminer grapes. 

Vinification takes place for twelve days in steel barrels at a controlled temperature of 18°C, followed by maturation in contact with the yeasts, again in steel. The result is an aromatic and enveloping wine that best embodies the characteristics of the grape variety and the terroir.
