Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo 2022 Travaglini
It is a young pure Nebbiolo, produced with grapes harvested in Northern Piedmont at the foot of Mount Rosa in almost alpine conditions. The soils are rocky, rich in porphyry and minerals of volcanic origin, they do not have limestone and clay as in the Langhe; moreover the climate is cool and breezy. Nebbiolo ripens maintaining a rather slender structure and returns wines of great elegance, both in the floral scent and in the supple and refreshing taste. It is a very versatile wine when paired with food, it does not require too elaborate dishes, indeed it goes well with pasta, rise, cold cuts, cold dishes, white meats and, if desired, even stewed fish. In short, it is a delicious wine, with an amazing drinkability with the class that distinguishes all wines made with Nebbiolo.
The grapes are crushed and fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation the wine carries out the malolactic fermentation too. At the end it ages in large Slavonian oak barrels for about 8 months.
