Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena 2019 Bertani
The historic Bertani estate is located in Valpantena and here today is the Bertani headquarters, on the Grezzane estate. Although the first Amarone Bertani was produced in the Novare winery in Negrar, Bertani it is often considered the leading producer of Vapantena. His Amarone della Valpantena is made with a modern vinification that involves the use of small barrels to accelerate the aging period and therefore have a more immediate wine, with an easier approach.
The vineyards extend on both sides of the valley and have slightly different exposures and soils: marl-calcareous soils on the eastern side; clayey-limestone soils on the western side.
After a natural drying of the grapes, they proceed to pressing and fermentation with prolonged maceration. The wine ages for about 2 years in barriques and small Slavonian oak barrels.
