The Chablis Saint Martin Laroche is a white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the best plots of the Domaine Laroche winery, located on the Kimmeridgean, a geological formation rich in limestone and marine fossils, giving the wine its characteristic minerality and flavour.
The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with the utmost care to preserve the freshness and primary aromas of the fruit.
The wine is matured partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels to add complexity and structure.
Ageing: This wine is ready to drink now, but can evolve well in the cellar for 5-10 years.
It is an excellent example of the classic Chablis style, characterised by elegance, minerality and freshness.
Features
Colour: Light straw yellow with green reflections.
perfume: Intense and complex, with aromas of white fruit (apple, pear), citrus (lemon, grapefruit), white flowers, mineral notes, and nuances of melted butter and hazelnut.
