Carignano del Sulcis Cardanera 2022
Cardanera is a traditional Sardinian wine interpreted by Argiolas in a contemporary way, proposed with a joyful label. It is produced with pure Carignano grapes from southern Sardinia. Carignano grapes are normally rich in phenols and tend to create structured wines. In this case the grapes come from a sandy soil, which enhances the freshness and purity of flavors in the wine rather than the structure; furthermore, a winemaking with no wood-aging gives a wine that is easy to approach, fresh, balanced and immediately enjoyable.
The grapes are left to cold macerate for 3-4 days before the start of fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature with 12-15 days of skink contact. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. It remails in concrete until bottling.
