Friuli Pinot Grigio 2022
Pinot Grigio, widely spread throughout the north-east of Italy, finds its most popular version in this label: that of an intense and fruity white wine, with a round and balanced taste, easy to drink. This makes it immediately enjoyable and is the reason for its success with the public. The Pinot Grigio grapes of this wine come from heterogeneous soils with sandstone and clay, at about 60 meters above sea level in the province of Gorizia, not far from the Adriatic coast, between the coastal plain and the first slopes.
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first ten days of September. They are pressed immediately and the free-run must is left to clear by natural decanting for over 24 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature and for a small part (10% of the total) in barriques. Malolactic fermentation is prevented and the wine ages in contact with its fine lees for 4 months before being bottled.
