Alto Adige Müller-Thurgau 2019
It belongs to the classic line of San Michele Appiano wines, that is to say the line of typical wines, produced respecting the characteristics of each variety with a simple vinification; the wines of the classic line always have an advantageous quality / price ratio.
The Müller-Thurgau grape variety is a successful cross between Riesling and another less common variety, whose main characteristics are the ability to withstand cold weather and give wines with a tasty acidity and rich in fruity and floral aromas, variable according to the place of cultivation. In fact, the grapes come from vineyards cultivated between 600 and 900 meters above sea level in different valleys between the Bassa Atesina and the Oltradige. The soil is gravelly with limestone and porphyritic sediments and the climate is affected by significant temperature variations between night and day.
The harvest is manual. The grapes are pressed and the free-run must ferments in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine rests in steel until bottling to preserve its youthful fragrance.
