Aetneus Etna Rosso 2016
We are located at 770 m above sea level, on the northern side of Etna, the vineyards are pre-phylloxera, 150 year old vines.
The volcanic and sandy soils give strength and vital nerve to the wine, pushing the drink very much on mineral and dynamic notes.
Only 80% of the selected grapes are destemmed, the 12-day maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in stainless steel vats, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden barrels.
The wine then ages for 24 months in barriques.
It is the emblem of the vital force of the volcano, a red with a texture and structure of great finesse which however manages to be expressive and broad thanks to the Etna soils.
