Abruzzo Pecorino Bianchi Grilli 2022 Bio
Pecorino Bianchi Grilli is obtained from the Pecorino grape with a wine making process that enhances its aging potential: it is a full-bodied wine with a balance between body and minerality. It stands out for its developed aromas and mouth-filling taste that make it also suitable for pairing with meats such as rabbit, turkey and pork or with baked fish main courses. Pecorino is a white grape variety grown mainly in the hilly areas of the Marche and Abruzzo. It has recently been re-evaluated, whereas in the past it was only used as a complement to the point that it was about to disappear. Today, however, it has been understood that the charm of this early ripening grape variety is given by its aromatic content and good acidity which transforms itself into a fresh taste.
The grapes come from a 5-hectare vineyard at 300 m above sea level facing east and north-east on clayey-limestone soil with a sandy substrate. The hand-picked grapes ferment in oak barrique. The wine ages on the lees for 9 months.
