Poggio di Sotto 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Collemassari
This wine is grown in Montalcino, between 200 and 400 m above sea level, on mainly clay and limestone soil. The blend is 100 % Sangiovese.
Harvesting is done manually, with a very careful and parsimonious selection of the grapes, vinification takes place in wooden and cement vats with very long macerations, and finally ageing is carried out for 30 months in oak casks and one year in the bottle.
The end result is a complex and elegant wine, which in this vintage more than in others, due to the climatic conditions, is more delicate and elegant rather than intense and rough.
