Vino nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2020 Box da 6 bottiglie
This Vino nobile di Montepulciano Riserva, was reintroduced in 2010 after nearly 20 years since its last release in 1992. During the interval, replantings of native vines were made, focusing on clonal selections and the expression of Sangiovese in relation to soil conditions. Since 2010, the Riserva has been made exclusively from native Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile and Colorino grapes.
The grapes come from vineyards at least 20 years old, which gives the wine greater complexity and considerable aging potential.
After manual harvesting, destemming and crushing, the fermentation process begins and lasts for about ten to fifteen days in oak vats at a controlled temperature of 28 to 30 degrees.
The wine is aged in Slavonian or French oak barrels for 28-32 months and for several months in the bottle before being marketed.
