Valle d’Aosta Pinot Nero 2022
Pinot Noir is grown in the lower vineyards, in several villages below 650 meters with various exposures. The vineyards are of medium slope and have a sandy soil of morainic origin. In these conditions, Pinot Noir has acclimated and gives delicate wines, distinguished by fruity aromas and immediacy of drink.
The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed. A pre-fermentation cold maceration is also performed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine remains in contact with the skins for a total of 10 days during which frequent pumping over is carried out. Subsequently the wine also carries out the malolactic fermentation and ages only in steel for 8 months without any contact with wood.
