The Macallan 18 Years Double Cask Release 2023
Born in 2018, the 'Double cask' series is a great change for the Scottish distillery, it passes to an aging in ex-cherry barrels without going through barrels that have hosted bourbon.
Macallan 18 years old Double Cask is a single malt scotch whiskey aged for 18 years in a combination of European ex-sherry and American barrels, aging no longer requires ex-bourbon barrels.
It is a more powerful and deeper whiskey than its younger brother, with a soul that is also, at times, tropical. Here are added sweeter and smoky notes that are released in a very long and impetuous sip.

perfume: chocolate, vanilla and orange peel, pineapple in syrup, caramel.
Taste: the mouth is powerful and varied, from spice to smoky, deep and long, great intensity.
