Chianti Classico Terre di Prenzano 2019

Prenzano is the name of the place where part of the Vignamaggio vineyard extends on the right bank of the Greve river in the municipality of Greve in Chianti at about 400 meters above sea level. It is the highest vineyards of the estate; soil is sandy with sandstone and so called “macigno” (boulder). The Chianti Classico Terre di Prenzano is made with Sangiovese of this vineyard and is the most produced wine of Vignamaggio: 140,000 bottles / year.

Winemaking starts in steel vat where the alcoholic fermentation takes place with natural yeasts. The wine ages for almost a year in barrels.
