Santa Cristina Giardino Rosé 2023
Giardino Rosé Santa Cristina wine is a new rosé wine produced by Antinori with black berried grapes grown in Tuscany. Among these, Sangiovese plays an important role. It has a light and smooth taste, with very pleasant fruity and floral flavors. It is the undemanding wine that adapts to any moment of the day. It can be uncorked as an aperitif, can it match seafood appetizers, vegetarian dishes, summer salads, or why not a pizza? Antinori has tried to focus a lot on the balance of taste and the pleasantness of the aromas, just what one would expect from a rosé to be drunk young.
The vinification is twofold. Part of the grapes are de-stemmed and pressed and the free-run must ferments without any contact with the skins. A part, on the other hand, is de-stemmed, crushed and left to macerate for a few hours in order to extract color and aromatic compounds from the skin. Both musts carry out alcoholic fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine stays in steel at a low temperature until bottling.
