Aqua di Venus Rosato IGT 2022

The grape blend of Aqua di Venus 2022 Rosato, which is divided into 45 % Syrah, 35 % Sangiovese, 20 % Pinot Grigio, is cultivated in the Maremma at an altitude between 190 and 250 m on clayey-ferrous soil. 

Harvesting is by hand and pressing is gentle so as not to lose the primary aromas. Fermentation takes place at a low temperature in steel after the must has clarified. Ageing takes place in steel.

The end result is a wine, very similar to the Provencal style, savoury and fresh with citrus and Mediterranean scrub notes.

A small curiosity, the name is a tribute to Venus while its design to Renaissance art, again connecting to the Greek goddess, the ribs represent the ribs of the shell from which she emerged from the waters in Botticelli's painting.
