Dolcetto d’Alba Mosesco 2022
Prunotto’s Dolcetto Mosesco comes from a particularly suitable historical vineyard. It is called Dolcetto (“sweetish” in Italian) not because it is sweet, but only because Dolcetto is the first grape to ripen in the Langhe and therefore it is sweet when the others are still unripe. Furthermore, its berries are very sweet because they are not very acidic. From this grape a supple and comfortable dry wine is made.
The grapes, de-stemmed and crushed, ferment in steel vats at a controlled temperature with a short maceration. The malolactic fermentation is also carried out in steel. The wine ages in steel for 6 months before bottling.
