With Peloro Rosso 2021, Le Casematte continues to demonstrate its dedication to oenological excellence and the enhancement of Sicily's winemaking heritage. It is made from a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nocera, both native Sicilian varieties.
The grapes, cultivated according to organic principles, are harvested by hand in boxes from the second week of September for the Nocera, and from the third week for the Nerello Mascalese. Vinification takes place in steel vats and the wine is left on the lees until January of the following year. It matures in steel with a brief passage in new tonneaux for three months. Finally, it matures for a further three months in the bottle.

perfume: small red berries, floral, carob and liquorice scents, with a spicy background.
Taste: fresh, rich in fruit and with a dense and nervous tannic texture.
